Vienna Ensemble PRO 5 is a cross-platform MIDI and audio LAN solution that works universally on Macs and PCs, hosting Vienna Instruments as well as third-party 64-bit and 32-bit VSTi/AU plug-ins. Use it as a host on the same computer as your sequencer to integrate all your 64-bit and 32-bit instruments and effect plug-ins from third-party manufacturers (such as Spectrasonics, Native Instruments, Waves), or use it as a master-slave solution with multiple Macs and PCs, all connected with a standard Ethernet cable. You can easily route the audio streams of a whole arsenal of computers back to your main machine without the need of external hardware. The Preserve function keeps all of your templates and samples loaded while switching from one project to another. As a Pro Tools user you may integrate your favorite AU and VST plug-ins in your sessions!

Vienna Ensemble PRO 5 offers ITU surround support (up to 7.1) and full parameter automation. Control all plug-ins running on slave computers right from your master and even start/stop your sequencer or DAW with the space bar from within Vienna Ensemble PRO 5!

If Vienna MIR PRO their Multi Impulse Response mixing and reverberation software is installed, a single click on the corresponding button opens the application within Vienna Ensemble PRO 5 and routes the channel's signal directly to the Vienna MIR PRO application.

New Features in Vienna Ensemble PRO 5:

  • Full integration with Vienna MIR PRO (not included), which can be opened with a single click from within Vienna Ensemble PRO 5. Inserting Vienna MIR PRO in any channel of Vienna Ensemble PRO 5 will route the channel's signal to the MIR application, which may run on the same computer or on a slave computer connected with an Ethernet cable.
  • Full ITU surround support up to 7.1 with integrated plug-ins for surround-to-surround balancing and mono/stereo-to-surround.
  • Full plug-in latency compensation ensures full sync of all plug-ins inside each Vienna Ensemble PRO 5 instance.
  • Fully mappable touch parameter automation Control all of your plug-ins on slave computers right from your master and start/stop your sequencer or DAW with the space bar from within Vienna Ensemble PRO 5.
  • New post-effect plug-in rack for processing after pre-fader sends.
  • A new audio input plug-in lets you route audio signals from your DAW into Vienna Ensemble PRO 5, e.g., to turn itinto a virtual FX rack on your slave computer.

  • PC Intel P4/AMD Athlon 64 (and later) CPU with Windows XP 32-bit, Windows 7/Vista 32-bit and 64-bit versions (Core 2 Duo/Xeon recommended) or Intel Core 2 Duo/Xeon with Mac OS X 10.5.7 or higher (PPC/PPC64 works but is not actively supported)
  • 1 GB RAM (2 GB or more recommended)
  • Working Gigabit connection between master and slave computer(s)
  • ViennaKey (Vienna Symphonic Library protection device or other USB eLicenser, e.g., from Steinberg or Arturia)
  • VST/VST3/RTAS (Windows 7/Vista/XP), AU/VST/VST3/RTAS (OS X) compatible host; also works stand-alone
  • RTAS version requires Pro Tools 7.3 or higher
  • eLicenser Control Center 6.3.4.2082 or higher (the latest available version from www.eLicenser.net is highly recommended)
